Conditioning

In aquafeed and animal feed pelleting systems, a pre-conditioner is used mainly for pre-cooking. While in the extrusion system, other than pre-cooking, liquid and oil may be added for material hydration. The paddle arrangement inside the pre-conditioner ensures homogenous mixing between dry material with the added liquid or steam.
Post-conditioner is used in the aquafeed pelleting system to prolong the cooking of the pellets, increasing water stability and pellet durability.
The post-conditioning system is specially used for pelleted aqua feed. This system is essential for the production of shrimp feed and pelleted fish feed. This machine is used to prolong the cooking while avoiding condensation inside the post-conditioner. Sufficient post-conditioning will help aqua feed possess better water stability, digestibility, and higher PDI.
